Gymnasium Hans-and-Hilde-Coppi secondary School

The fire of 1937 built sports hall led to a grave loss for the urban area of the school. The design makes it his mission to "loss" next to the "grown" and the "new" to be understood as equal. Grown to be obtained, loss can be made visible and new are added. So the future will tell something of the past.

Location and size of the new sports hall will bring no further concern in the perceivable space and in the operations of the school. Therefore, the concept of the new sports hall is aimed at creating an identity for granted. For this reason, the sports hall is located along the Roman road, with its upper hall area overlooking the street and the one-storey locker-room to the school grounds.
